Chief among them are the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, with all of them having generated quite a lot of transfer income from selling their prized assets.
Over the past decade, Bundesliga side BVB sold Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze, Ousmane Dembele, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, and most recently Jadon Sancho for huge transfers fees.
LaLiga giants Atletico have also done their fair share of good business over the past 10 years, having seen the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez, Rodri, Thomas Partey, and Radamel Falcao all leave for hefty sums.
Chelsea, who tend to spend big on signing players themselves, are surprisingly one of the top-earning clubs in this metric.
The Blues, who are the only English club in the top 10, have grossed €1 billion (R17.4 billion) over the past decade following the departures of players such as Eden Hazard, Oscar, and Diego Costa.
