A Real Madrid star has revealed that he and his teammates formulated a plan to mock Liverpool's Mohamed Salah when the two sides met in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League final.
The Egyptian became an unpopular character for Los Blancos when he made comments about seeking "revenge" against them after the Reds booked their spot in the UCL final.
Ahead of the second leg of Real's semi-final against Manchester City, Salah revealed that he preferred to face the Spanish giants in the decider as he sought retribution for the 2018 final, when the Merseysiders lost 3-1 to the LaLiga outfit.
It was also a match in which the Pharoah had to be substituted off early due to a shoulder injury.

Real winger Rodrygo has now explained how his team used the 30-year-old's comments as motivation during their preparations for this year's final in Paris.
"When a guy provokes, sometimes you just want to win so you can make fun of them," he told the Podpah podcast.
"In training, we used to say 'come Salah, come Salah'… in our head, it was already: 'We have to win to then make fun of Salah'."
With Carlo Ancelotti's men eventually winning the tournament thanks to a solitary strike by Vinicius Junior in the final, Rodrygo added that midfielder Luka Modric decided to rub the defeat in Salah's face immediately after the match was completed.
"When the game was over, the Real Madrid players made a runner," the 21-year-old continued.
"Liverpool were passing by, Salah was going through a little sad, head down.
"Modric looked at him and said: 'Thank you, Salah, next time you try again.' I started laughing."
