Real confirm big decision on Bale

World News

With Gareth Bale's contract set to expire at the end of the season, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has now confirmed the player's future at the club.

The 32-year-old, who is the Spanish giants' second-most expensive signing in their history, is now in his ninth year at Real following his €101 million (R1.7 billion) switch from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

Having amassed more than 250 appearances and scored 106 goals for Los Blancos, the Welshman will now see his career in the Spanish capital come to a contractual end, with manager Ancelotti having confirmed that the player's time at the club will soon reach its conclusion, per Marca.

"He trains well, he's professional.

"He wants to end things here as he deserves to because he's helped us to win the Champions League and he's done important things.

"I think finishing things well here would be good for his career."
