It is claimed that Dembele has demanded big wages, as well as a signing-on fee, in order to sign an extension at the Camp Nou – his camp is said to be confused that he has not been offered such by the LaLiga club even though they are pursuing Erling Haaland despite their reported financial difficulties, according to Forbes.

It has now been reported by Spanish publication Sport that Dembele has a "deal in principle" with Italian giants Juventus to join them as a free agent at the end of this season.
