Neymar's father launched a furious tirade on social media after the Paris Saint-Germain star suffered a potentially season-ending injury over the weekend.
Neymar was seen in tears during PSG's 1-0 Ligue 1 defeat to Olympique Lyon on Sunday after being stretchered off with a serious ankle injury following a challenge from countryman Thiago Mendes.
After the match, the Brazil star's father Neymar Sr. took to social media to deliver a scathing attack on the match officials for allowing what he deemed to have been a concerted effort by the Lyon players to injure the prolific forward.

"Damn, how long [can it go unpunished]? So much talk about it, so much we allow this excess of violence! Why not stop it at the beginning, on the first offence, why wait for the seventh, eighth or ninth?" he posted on his official Instagram account.
"Do we need to look at the VAR to see what an expulsion is? Do we need the VAR to see what such a violent tackle is? Do we need someone to get hurt to make honest decisions? One player makes irresponsible, violent tackles, sideways, crosses the physical space of the other, without even the option to defend...
"We did not measure that during the entire match, where Neymar suffered the traditional salad of fouls, and always violent, and with that we are feeding these types of players and attitudes. So football will end up losing. Until when will it be the victim's fault? It depends on who controls the game, who has the opportunity to protect..."
