A Brazil legend has made a bold statement about Neymar, claiming that the Paris Saint-Germain playmaker is technically better than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
For quite some time and in many quarters, it was believed that Neymar would be the heir to Messi and Ronaldo's throne at the top of world football, and that he would regularly challenge the pair for the Ballon d'Or.

It appears the Selecao star is yet to reach his full potential, though, even after leaving Messi's shadow at FC Barcelona in 2017 – the 29-year-old was said to have left the Blaugrana because he wanted to be the main figure at a club, but that dream has seemingly gone up in smoke as he has had a sensational Kylian Mbappe alongside him in Paris.
However, former Brazil captain and AC Milan star Cafu has now boldly claimed that Neymar's technical ability is superior to that of Messi and Ronaldo's.
"Neymar is technically better than Messi, better than Cristiano Ronaldo, but he must assume the responsibility of a leader," Cafu explained at the MARCA Sports Weekend event in Seville.
"One must dedicate themselves 100% to football; I'm not better than Neymar, but I am better than other right-backs because I dedicated myself to that.
"He [Neymar] has to become a captain."
