Pochettino urged to leave PSG for Utd

World News

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino has been urged to leave the French giants for the vacant managerial role at Manchester United.

With the Argentine tactician believed to be United's preferred candidate to replace the departed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a permanent capacity, the 49-year-old has now been bluntly advised to part ways with Les Parisiens and head up a new project at Old Trafford.

Earlier this week, Pochettino was asked if he would be keen to take charge of the Red Devils, and the PSG manager seemingly erased any suggestion that he would jump ship in Paris in favour of a return to the Premier League.

In a press conference ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League tie against Manchester City on Wednesday night, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss insisted he is "happy" where he is and that all of his focus is on the job at hand with the Ligue 1 outfit.

Ex-Liverpool star Jamie Carragher appears to be of a different view, though, urging the ex-Southampton boss to make the switch to Manchester if at all possible as he feels the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, and their perceived lack of work rate, leaves the team disjointed and unbalanced.

"Pochettino has to get out of the club," Carragher told CBS Sports following PSG's 2-1 loss to City at the Etihad.

"If he has the chance to go to Manchester United, I would be gone tomorrow.

"I honestly would, and it's because of those three stars [Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar]."
