PSG 'open talks' with Pogba's reps

World News

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly "opened talks" with Paul Pogba's representatives as they look to take the Manchester United star back to home soil.

According to The Athletic, PSG have met with Pogba's entourage to enquire about the French midfielder's availability ahead of a potential transfer in this window.

The Daily Mail reports that the Red Devils are anticipating a £43 million (R878 million) bid from Les Parisiens for the France star, while it is also believed that the former Juventus player turned down a long-term contract offer worth £50 million (R1 billion) from United recently.

Pogba is unlikely to sign a new deal at Old Trafford, per Sky Sports, and his future will have an impact on any new signings the Manchester club could make as they are said to be in the market for a new addition in midfield in case he leaves.

If an agreement is reached between the Premier League side and PSG, Pogba could become the French giants' sixth signing of the window following the arrivals of Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the permanent acquisition of Danilo Pereira.
