Manager Massimiliano Allegri's return to the team's dugout has seemingly not yet inspired the players for the better after the club parted ways with Andrea Pirlo last season.

The Old Lady also appear to be rueing the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo, who made a sensational return to United in August after scoring 101 goals in 134 games for the Turin outfit.

Nedved has now admitted that the loss of Ronaldo's goals has had an impact on the Bianconeri in this campaign, and urged the team's forwards to step up.

"In terms of implementation, we are behind," the former Czech Republic midfielder told Italian outlet DAZN.

"But we must add [Federico] Chiesa, [Federico] Bernardeschi and all the attacking players, who maybe as you rightly say they score between 10 and 15 goals. If they do, it means that you are in good shape.

"We lost a 30-goal player [Ronaldo], but if our players improve the sidelines we will have a better chance of getting closer to the top spots."
