Following the return of Dani Alves, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has responded to talk of a potential homecoming for former Blaugrana stars Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
On Wednesday, veteran fullback Alves was unveiled at the Camp Nou, where he received a hero's welcome after becoming new boss Xavi Hernandez's first signing.

The Brazilian's arrival, as well as Xavi's appointment as manager, has triggered speculation over the possibility of Messi and Iniesta rejoining the club too, and this was something Barca president Laporta has refused to rule out.
"I don't rule anything out," he told reporters at Alves' presentation, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
"It happened with Dani, age is a number.
"They [Messi and Iniesta] are two great players. I can't predict what will happen tomorrow, they are still playing and contracted to other clubs.
"You never know."
Both Messi and Iniesta have said in recent weeks that they would be open to rejoining the LaLiga club one day.
"I don’t know what will happen in the future, I would love in some moment of my life to return to Barca," Iniesta, who is currently playing for Vissel Kobe in Japan, said in an interview with El Mati de Catalunya Radio.
“I don’t know in what capacity. To return to Barca, to my home, to be able to continue helping in one way or another, but nobody knows the future."
The Argentine, meanwhile, recently told Sport that he would be more than willing to return to the Blaugrana in some capacity as he and his family have every intention of moving back to their home in Catalonia.
