In October, the Australian league's awards were announced, and Brockie was named the Graham Jennings Medal winner, which is the equivalent of a Player of the Year award, according to the Newcastle Herald.

The former New Zealand international, who earned the nickname "Sniper" during his time in South Africa, also claimed the Golden Boot accolade after scoring 15 goals to help the Eagles to third position on the log before their league campaign was cancelled, with only two rounds remaining, due to Covid-19.

The ex-SuperSport United star is said to have achieved that goal tally in 15 matches, with 10 of those strikes coming during his side's seven-game unbeaten run that put them in contention for the league title after a slow start to the year.

Brockie has also reportedly confirmed his future with Eagles, with the club announcing that he will return for a second season with them in 2022.
