Ex-Chiefs star relegated in Turkey

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe has suffered relegation from Turkey's top flight.

On Saturday evening, Hadebe's relegation from the Turkish Super Lig was confirmed after his club Yeni Malatyaspor suffered a 1-0 defeat to Gaziantep FK on the final day of the 2019/20 campaign.

Malatyaspor's relegation comes as a disappointment following their exploits last season, which the saw club end fifth in the league table and qualify for the second round of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

For his part, Hadebe made 23 appearances in the league, and 28 across all competitions, but was unable to help the club avoid the drop this time around.

The 24-year-old Zimbabwe international joined the Turkish outfit from Chiefs in July last year, having previously made 39 appearances during his two-year stint with the Amakhosi
