Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah are among the most valuable players in the world today, but there's no space for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the top 12.
It will not surprise many that emerging superstars Mbappe and Erling Haaland are among the highest-valued players in the game following their meteoric rise on the world stage.

With the two stars having scored 42 and 41 goals across all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund, respectively, last season, the pair are two of only three players who are valued at more than £100 million (R2 billion) by German website Transfermarkt.
Liverpool forward Salah, meanwhile, is the only African player in the top 12. A consistent performer for the Reds over the past four years, the Egypt talisman has registered 125 goals and 47 assists in 203 appearances across all competitions since making the move to Merseyside from Roma in 2017.
Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, who turned 30 last month, is the oldest player in the top 12, with the Belgium star said to be valued at £90 million (R1.8 billion).
In what may come as a shock to some, neither Ronaldo nor Messi are among the 12 most valuable players in the world today, according to Transfermarkt, perhaps due to their contract situations with their respective clubs.
Other players in the top 12 include four more Premier League stars and a surprise LaLiga midfielder, but who is at the top of the list? Scroll through the gallery above to find out!
