Barca's next manager revealed?

World News

Amid talk of Ronald Koeman's impending dismissal, FC Barcelona have reportedly reached a "pre-agreement" with a certain manager to take over from the Dutchman.

According to Catalunya Radio, Blaugrana president Joan Laporta has an agreement in principle with Ajax Amsterdam head coach Erik ten Hag to step into the club's helm ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Koeman is now expected to see out the remainder of this season, with his countryman, who is reportedly backed by one of Laporta's advisors in Jordi Cruyff for the job, set to take over thereafter.

It is believed that if Ten Hag is hired, he will lead a major clearout at the club, with several players being tipped to leave upon his arrival, such as Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho and Clement Lenglet, among others.

It is further claimed that the 51-year-old has a list of stars he would like to bring to the Camp Nou, including Ryan Gravenberch, Matthijs de Ligt and Erling Haaland.

Furthermore, Blaugrana youngsters such as Gavi, Nico Gonzalez, Oscar Mingueza, Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig are also expected to be afforded more opportunities in order to facilitate the continuity of the squad.

Ten Hag has been in charge of Ajax since December 2017 and has won five trophies with the Dutch giants, including two Eredivisie titles.
