With the striker having already completed a medical, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an official announcement is imminent as Pep Guardiola's side look to launch another Premier League and UEFA Champions League title charge in the 2022/23 season.

According to the Daily Mirror, Haaland will earn a basic salary of £400 000 (R7.9 million) a week over five years at the Etihad, which would put him on par with City's top earner Kevin De Bruyne.

It is claimed the total package for the player will be worth in excess of £200 million (R3.9 billion), including performance-related clauses and other add-ons.

City are also closing in on £1 billion (R19 billion) in transfer expenditure under Guardiola's tutelage – that figure stands at just over £918 million (R18 billion) today, per the Daily Mail.
