Lars Veldwijk found the back of the net as Sparta Rotterdam drew 2-2 with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon.
The Bafana Bafana international, who was Sparta's top scorer last season, started on the bench for the visitors on their return to the top flight.
After a scoreless first half, it was Sparta who broke the deadlock shortly after the break through Mohammed Rayhi's first of the campaign.
Veldwijk was introduced on the hour mark before Feyenoord drew level thanks to a strike from Steven Berghuis six minutes later.
With 15 minutes to play, the Bafana forward restored the visitors' lead by firing past Kenneth Vermeer for his first in his top-flight return.
Sparta were not able to hold on for three points as Sam Larsson snatched a point for Feyenoord by netting in the fifth minute of time added on.
