CR7 to make EPL return after Messi move?

World News

With Lionel Messi now a Paris Saint-Germain player, Cristiano Ronaldo's agent has reportedly offered the five-time Ballon d'Or winner to Premier League champions Manchester City.

According to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, the player's representative Jorge Mendes is in England in a bid to persuade City owner Sheikh Mansour to sign Ronaldo.

The Citizens are understood to still be in the running to land Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane's signature, but if that deal fails to materialise, Mendes is seemingly of the view that Ronaldo could be a considerable alternative for the Manchester club.

The ex-Real Madrid attacker is down to the final year of his mega-contract in Turin, where he reportedly earns £25.5 million (R523 million) annually, and Juve are understood to be eager to get the Portugal star's salary off their wage bill.

It is further claimed that Ronaldo could be available for just £25 million (R510 million).

The 36-year-old was also the subject of interest from PSG, but Messi's arrival in the French capital appears to have dashed any hope he may have had of joining the Ligue 1 club in this transfer window.
