With Cristiano Ronaldo continuing his remarkable goalscoring form with a brace on Saturday, the Juventus superstar is now rapidly gaining ground on the frontrunners for the European Golden Shoe.
Ronaldo netted twice in the Bianconeri's 2-2 draw with Atalanta on the weekend, with both goals coming from the penalty spot. The 35-year-old's latest brace took him to 28 league goals for the season – just one shy of Serie A leading goalscorer Ciro Immobile – and saw him shoot back into serious contention for the coveted Golden Shoe.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who has played all of his matches for the season, currently tops the charts after netting 34 times in the Bundesliga, ahead of Immobile (29) and Ronaldo, who both have six Serie A fixtures remaining for the campaign.
The Italy-based pair look to have little in the way of competition as RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, who recently signed for Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland have both also completed their campaigns, ranking joint-third and fourth, respectively.
With only two LaLiga matches remaining, Lionel Messi looks to have fallen out of contention for this season, with the FC Barcelona superstar languishing in eighth place with 22 goals for the campaign.
