Ronaldo 'asks agent' for Real return

World News

A shock report has emerged suggesting that Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has told his agent to hold talks with Real Madrid regarding a possible return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Last week, it was reported that the forward will leave the Red Devils if they fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season as the Portuguese star considers playing in the UEFA Champions League a top priority.

With Ronaldo said to be concerned about the way things have gone at United so far in this campaign, the 36-year-old has called on his agent Jorge Mendes to initiate discussions with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez regarding a potential reunion with the LaLiga giants, according to El Nacional.

Ralf Rangnick's side are currently fourth on the Premier League table heading into the international break, but that seemingly has little bearing as Ronaldo is said to have asked Mendes to speak to "other clubs" too, suggesting that Real are not the only option the Portugal captain would consider for his next destination should he decide to leave United at season's end.

It is thought that Paris Saint-Germain could be one such club, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner having been linked with a move to the French giants before they announced that they had signed Lionel Messi back in August 2021.

It has also been claimed that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi would love to have both superstars at his club.
