Former chairman Bruce Buck stepped down from his rposition last week, while Marina Granovskaia will also step down from her role as director of the club at the end of the transfer window, according to Football.London.

While Romelu Lukaku's planned exit has dominated the headlines in terms of the club's transfer business, the Blues are now said to have made headway in the pursuit of their first 2022/23 signing.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Premier League side Leeds United have accepted Chelsea's bid to sign their winger Raphinha.

The Brazil star was rumoured to be headed to Barcelona, while Arsenal were also understood to be in the race to secure the player's services.

However, it seems Chelsea have won the race for Raphinha's signature, with Leeds believed to have accepted a bid in the region of £60 to £65 million (R1.1 to R1.2 billion), including add-ons, for the player.

It is reported that new owner Boehly is overseeing the negotiations, and talks are now ongoing with the player's agent Deco regarding personal terms.

Despite the reported agreement between Leeds and the Blues, though, there is speculation that Barca could yet make a late attempt to hijack the deal and secure Raphinha's signature from under Tuchel and company's noses.
