Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix has spoken about his injury struggles after missing more than 20 games due to injury since his arrival at the Wanda Metropolitano in 2019.
The Portuguese starlet shot to prominence following his impressive displays with Benfica, prompting the reigning LaLiga champions to pay €127.2 million (R2.1 billion) for the then-wonderkid, a figure that made him the fifth most expensive transfer of all time behind Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, per Transfermarkt.

However, it has not been plain sailing for the 21-year-old since, with the player having suffered a number of niggling injuries after joining Los Rojiblancos, disrupting his development and progress in the Spanish capital.
The 2019 Golden Boy Award winner has now spoken about his recovery to full fitness ahead of an important stretch of games for the team.
"It was hard," Felix said in a video interview with LaLiga.
"It's never easy to play when you're not fit. I did because I wanted to, and to try and help the team.
"I'm well now. I'm recovered. I'm fully focused on the season and the next game, which is important to us.
"My game is returning and I hope to be more ready than ever for the season."
Felix has made just two appearances for Atleti in the 2021/22 season so far, with one coming against FC Porto in their UEFA Champions League group opener on Wednesday.
