An Arsenal star is said to have changed his name following a personal announcement he made in March.
Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has adopted a new name after he converted from Christianity to Islam earlier this year.
In March, the player confirmed he had decided to convert due to his Moroccan partner Sara Bella, and has now revealed he has changed his name too.

Speaking during a recent interview in his home country, per ElDesmarque, the former Atletico Madrid star said: "I'm already married and my Muslim name is Yakubu."
The 28-year-old is said to have been brought up in a Christian home but has always had Muslim friends around him.
According to the Evening Standard, no changes will be made with regards to the name on the back of his Gunners shirt, so the "Thomas" on the back of his No. 5 jersey is set to remain unchanged.
With "Partey" being his formal surname, the deep-lying playmaker has previously explained why he opted not to have it on the back of his playing tops.
"I've seen that there are Parteys everywhere and even the photographer asked me why I don't use Partey on my shirt, and I said it's because I started with Thomas and people are familiar with Thomas, so I need to go with Thomas," he explained when he arrived in London two years ago, per GiveMeSport.
