After failing to land Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the latest transfer window, Manchester City have reportedly set their sights on Erling Haaland, and could sell up to eight players to fund the deal.
Pep Guardiola's Citizens missed out on adding a striker to their squad after the departure of record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who left as a free agent to join FC Barcelona in July.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Kane was said to be the club's main transfer target, but after weeks of speculation and reports of a £100 million (R2 billion) bid being rejected by the London side, the 28-year-old decided to stay with the Lilywhites this season.
The English champions then reportedly showed an interest in then-Juventus forward Ronaldo, but were dealt a blow in that pursuit as well when neighbours Manchester United swooped in to re-sign their former star.
It has now been reported that City have joined the race for Norwegian superstar Haaland, who it is said will be available for just £64 million (R1.3 billion) once his release clause is activated at the end of the current campaign.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Citizens could sell as many as eight players – Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Nathan Ake, and Jayden Braaf, as well as the loaned out quartet of Ko Itakura, Pedro Porro, Morgan Rogers, and Yangel Herrera – in order to raise funds to secure Haaland's signature.
Both Sterling and Silva have been linked with exits from the Etihad for a while now, with both of them rumoured to have been offered as part of a deal to land Kane.
Haaland, who has scored an incredible 11 goals and assisted a further four strikes in just eight matches across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season, remains a top target for the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and United, among others.
