Rwanda 7-0 Seychelles

Rwanda took Seychelles to the cleaners with a 10-0 aggregate triumph after a 7-0 second-leg win in Kigali, with a double from Meddie Kagere and Jacques Tuyisenge.

Abdul Rwatubyaye opened the gates on 16 minutes with Kagere adding a second five minutes later before Tuyisenge fired a quick double in the 28th and 34th minute.

Kagere grabbed his second six minutes from halftime, as Yannick Mukunzi put his name on the board too six minutes later with Muhadjir Hakizimana adding the final nail on 79 minutes.

Mozambique 2-0 Mauritius

Mozambique progressed into the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying group stage phase after a 2-0 second-leg victory over Mauritius in Maputo on Tuesday.

After winning the first-leg 1-0, Mozambique’s chances grew with a sixth minute opener from Clesio before Geny Catamo fired the second from the spot on 77 minutes for a 3-0 aggregate win.

Angola 2-1 Gambia

Angola joined their Southern African neighbours in the group stage qualifying phase following a 2-1 win over Gambia at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

The Angolans won last week’s first-leg 1-0, and the advantage remained with the side during the break following Geraldo’s 41st minute opener.

Assan Ceesay gave the visitors an away goal on 66 minutes and a potential life-line, but Fabio Abreu redirected matters back to the hosts with the winner two minutes later for a 3-1 aggregate win.

Togo 2-0 Comoros

Togo utilised their home ground advantage to good effect with a 2-0 win over Comoros at the Stade de Kegeu for a 3-1 aggregate triumph in Lome.

An own-goal from Kassim M’Dahoma on 10 minutes handed Togo an early lead before Gilles Sunu made the game safe 20 minutes from time.
