However, Koulibaly is not the most valuable AFCON star who plays in Serie A, as AC Milan's Franck Kessie narrowly eclipses the stock of The Lions of Teranga skipper with his €48 million (R852 million) valuation.

Kessie is one of two Ivorians to feature on the list, alongside compatriot and Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha.

The 29-year-old former England star, who switched his allegiance back in 2017, is one of five players at the African showpiece who are valued at €40 million (R709 million).

Meanwhile, the list also features a Paris Saint-Germain star, an Arsenal midfielder, as well as a breakout star in the German Bundesliga - scroll through the gallery on top to see who takes the top spot!
