The French-born star is valued at €25 million (R440 million) according to Transfermarkt, ranking him among the most valuable goalies in the continent.
Cameroon international and Ajax Amsterdam star Andre Onana is also valued alongside Africa’s most prized players in this position, pipping Mendy with his €30 million (R528 million) valuation.
Al Ahly’s No. 1 Mohamed El Shenawy is the highest-ranked goalkeeper who plays his football in the continent, and Pitso Mosimane’s first choice has a market value of €2.5 million (R44 million).
