Player wears rival club shirt to force exit

UEFA Europa League

Didier Lamkel Ze arrived at Antwerp training on Wednesday morning wearing rivals Anderlecht shirt as he looked to force a January transfer.

The Cameroon international forward caused widespread outrage amongst the club and their supporters as he looked to force the Belgian top-flight side to accept an offer from Panathinaikos.

And after being denied access to the club's training facilities after a notable coming together with security at the entrance of the club's training complex in Brussels.

"It's simple: I want to go to Greece. I have given my personal agreement. Don't play with my career," he told AD in reference to his desire to leave.

After returning home, the 23-year-old took to social media to threaten to return the next day in their other rivals colours, Beerschot.

The towering attacker has scored 11 goals and registered nine assists in 69 games since his arrival at the oldest club in Belgium in July 2018.
