Manchester United 3-2 Atalanta
Manchester United produced another UEFA Champions League comeback after defeating Atalanta 3-2 at Old Trafford.
The Serie A outfit raced into a two-goal lead in the first half through Mario Pasalic on 15 minutes before Merih Demiral doubled the lead with a towering header on 28 minutes.
Marcus Rashford began the comeback on 58 minutes with a composed finish while Harry Maguire levelled things up with a lovely first-time strike with 15 minutes left.
Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the headlines once again after rising above his marker to head home Luke Shaw's cross in the final five minutes to seal the win.
Chelsea 4-0 Malmo FF
Chelsea got their Group H campaign back on track after hammering Malmo 4-0 courtesy of a brace by Jorginho at Stamford Bridge.
Andreas Christensen got an early opener for the Blues while Kai Havertz netted early in the second stanza, in between two goals by Jorginho from the penalty spot.
Benfica 0-4 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich maintained their winning strat in Group E with a 4-0 win over Benfica at Estadio Da Luz.
After two first-half goals were disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Leroy Sane eventually broke the deadlock for the Bavarians in the last 20 minutes and an own goal by Everton Spares ten minutes later opened the floodgates.
Lewandowski did get his name on the scoresheet before Sane completed his brace late on.
Zenit Saint Petersburg 0-1 Juventus
Juventus maintained their 100 percent record in Group H after a late 1-0 win over Zenit Saint Petersburg at Gazprom Arena.
After a goalless first stanza, Dejan Kulusevski eventually broke the deadlock for the Old Lady in the last four minutes and that proved to be the winner.
Lille 0-0 Sevilla
Seville remain unbeaten in Group G after playing to a goalless stalemate with Lille at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
However, the Spanish side fell four points behind leaders RB Salzburg in second place in the section while Lille remained one point behind in third place.
Young Boys 1-4 Villarreal
Villarreal got their first win in Group F after a resounding 4-1 win over Young Boys at Stadion Wankdorf.
Yeremi Pino, Gerard Moreno, Alberto Moreno and Samuel Chukwueze gave the Yellow Submarine the win on the night while Meschak Elia got the solitary strike for the hosts.
FC Barcelona 1-0 FC Dynamo Kyiv
FC Barcelona finally picked up their first win in the UEFA Champions League this season with a 1-0 win over FC Dynamo Kyiv at Camp Nou in a Group E clash on Wednesday.
Barca’s journey in the tournament didn’t get off as many had expected with losses by three-goal margins to Bayern Munich and Benfica following suit.
Neither trio though proved telling as it was long-serving defender Gerard Pique that got the winner from a first-time volley that the aforementioned figures would be proud of, as El Clasico awaits.
RB Salzburg 3-1 Vfl Wolfsburg
RB Salzburg won back-to-back matches for the first time in their Champions League history courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Vfl Wolfsburg to cement top spot in Group E.
Salzburg hit the front very early through Karim Adeyemi, but former Anderlecht man Lukas Nmecha brought the Germans back on level terms not long thereafter.
With the second half off the mark, Swiss-born youngster Noah Okafor bagged a quick double to see the Austrian side sit pretty at the summit and Wolfsburg winless from three matches so far.
