Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah are among a list of high-profile players who could miss out on a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo's Juventus dropped out of the top four in the Serie A standings on Sunday after suffering a humbling 3-0 defeat to rivals AC Milan and, with just three matches remaining for the campaign, are at risk of missing out on 2021/22 Champions League qualification.

Should the Bianconeri fail to secure a top-four finish, Ronaldo could be playing in the UEFA Europa League next season for the first time since the 2002/03 campaign, when he was still on the books of boyhood side Sporting Lisbon.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is not the only marquee player at risk of missing out on Europe's premier club competition in the campaign to come, with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane running out of time to secure their team's place at the tournament.
Liverpool are currently six points behind fourth-placed Leicester City in the Premier League standings and will face competition from West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and crosstown rivals Everton, who are all still in contention.
Spurs and England captain Harry Kane, whose side is one point behind the Reds in the standings, is another big-name player who could miss out, although the striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent weeks.
Elsewhere, reigning European Golden Shoe holder Ciro Immobile looks likely to miss out as well. Lazio are six points outside of a qualification spot, albeit with a game in hand, but face an uphill battle in overhauling either Napoli or Juventus by the end of the season.
