Inter Milan went 13 points clear at the top of the Serie A table following a 1-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon.
The league leaders introduced the same starting eleven from the hard-fought 1-1 stalemate in midweek against Spezia.
As the match got underway, the two sides battled to get going with tough tackling the order of the day therefore the first half finished goalless between the two sides.
Inter broke the all-important deadlock in the latter minutes of the match courtesy of Matteo Darmian, as the host opened up a 13 point lead at the top of the league standings.
Fiorentina 1-1 Juventus
Juventus overturned a deficit to grind out a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina in the day’s other clash in Florence.
Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny headlined Juventus’ changes, as Giorgio Chiellini, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey completed the alterations from the win over Parma on Wednesday.
Fiorentina stunned the champions with the lead from the penalty spot through Dusan Vlahovic, but Alvaro Morata came good for the Bianconeri a minute in the second half.
The result leaves Juve in third spot, level on 66 points with AC Milan who travel to Lazio on Monday evening.
