Former Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o has lauded Roma coach Jose Mourinho, describing him as the "perfect" manager.
The Cameroon legend enjoyed a trophy-laden playing career with spells at European giants such as FC Barcelona, Chelsea and Inter, sharing a dressing room with some of the best managers in the world, but has always publicly insisted that the Portuguese was his favourite.
The pair won a treble of trophies in their first season together at the San Siro in the 2009/10 season, before once again joining forces at Chelsea in the 2013/14 campaign.
In a recent interview, Eto'o was once again full of praise for the head coach he once worked with.
"We had a team of coaches (at Inter Milan). With a unique head coach (Mourinho)," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport at the Sports Festival in Trento.
"He perfectly understood every player and the sentiments of the Inter fans.
"He knew how to combine these two things, he was perfect."
The 40-year-old scored 53 goals in 102 games for the Serie A giants, and also claimed the Champions League, the Scudetto, two Coppa Italias and the Supercoppa Italiana in his two-year stint with the Nerazzurri.
