Romelu Lukaku is set to remain with Serie A champions Inter Milan next season despite the club parting ways with manager Antonio Conte.
Last month, Inter ended Juventus' near-decade-long dominance over Italian football when they claimed the Serie A title for the first time since the 2009/10 season.
However, celebrations were short-lived as soon after the club's triumph, it was announced head coach Conte had left the Nerazzurri, with a number of star players expected to follow suit amid the club's ongoing financial concerns.
Lukaku, who has scored 47 goals in 72 league appearances since joining Inter, was among those strongly linked with a move away from Milan, with a return to former club Chelsea previously said to have been on the cards.
The Belgian striker has dismissed this speculation surrounding his future, however, after confirming that he will remain with the club under the new manager, who is expected to be announced as Simone Inzaghi in the coming days.
"Yes, I am staying," Lukaku told broadcaster VTM h/t Reuters. "I feel good at Inter.
"I've already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn't say that yet ... but it was a very positive conversation. There's also the challenge of doing it [winning the league] again."
The former Manchester United star netted 24 goals for Conte's side during the 2020/21 campaign, second only to Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo, who netted a league-high 29 strikes for the dethroned Bianconeri.
