Suarez 'agrees terms' with Juventus

Serie A

FC Barcelona star Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus ahead of a potential transfer that would see him partner Cristiano Ronaldo.

Suarez's time at Barcelona appears to be drawing to a close after the Uruguay forward was told by new manager Ronald Koeman he no longer has a future at the club.

The 33-year-old has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs since news of his availability broke, including possible returns to former clubs Ajax Amsterdam and Liverpool.

However, the two-time European Golden Shoe winner's future appears to lie in Italy, where he has reportedly agreed personal terms with Serie A champions Juventus.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Suarez's representatives reached the agreement after a second meeting with the club, which followed a direct conversation between the player and vice president Pavel Nedved.

It is claimed the prolific forward would join the Italian giants on a free transfer and earn €10 million (R198 million) a year after tax, which is on par with the salary he currently earns at the Camp Nou.

Suarez is believed to have been the name at the top of the Bianconeri's shortlist to partner Ronaldo for next season, which also reportedly included the likes of Karim Benzema and Edin Dzeko.
