Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly identified FC Barcelona star Ansu Fati as the club's ideal candidate to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reigning Italian champions Juventus have shortlisted Barcelona sensation Fati to be the long-term successor for star forward Ronaldo, according to Spanish publication Sport.
The 18-year-old's contract at Barcelona reportedly expires in June 2022 which is the same time as Ronaldo's deal with Juve runs out, and the Bianconeri are said to have placed him at the top of their wishlist to replace the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Both players are represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes who, according to the report, could be instrumental in facilitating the move, much like he did with Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
The former Manchester United star has once again been instrumental for Juventus this season and has netted 23 goals in 26 appearances, but will be 37 years old by the time next season draws to a close.
He thus appears unlikely to remain in Turin beyond the duration of his current deal, with a move to Major League Soccer widely touted, which has sparked the club into preparing for the future.
Fati is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world and already boasts 13 goals in 43 senior appearances for Barca, although his current campaign has been disrupted by injury.
