Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified a Manchester United star to be his first signing at AS Roma next season.
The Serie A outfit surprised the footballing world by announcing Mourinho will take over the manager duties from next season, with Paulo Fonseca set to leave at the of the campaign.
Italian publication SportItalia suggests the Portuguese tactician is already planning for next season and is now looking to sign Nemanja Matic.
It is being reported that the Rome outfit has already approached the Red Devils about whether the Serbian midfielder would be available in the next transfer window.
Matic was signed by Mourinho at Old Trafford, but the midfielder has become more of a squad player since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over in December 2018.
The 33-year-old also worked with the 'Special One' at Chelsea where they won the Premier League tile in the 2014/15 season.
