Mourinho breaks silence on EPL rumours

Serie A

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has broken his silence on the reports linking him with a surprise return to the Premier League.

The Portuguese tactician was one of the reported names on the shortlist for the Everton job after Rafael Benitez was relieved of his duties.

Sky Sports reported that Everton were considering the two-time Champions League winner for the job, while Frank Lampard and Derby County manager Wayne Rooney have also been linked.

Mourinho, however, has confirmed he has no desire to leave the Italian capital, having only been in the job for six months.

"Right now I wouldn’t change my job here at Roma with another one," Mourinho said after his team beat Lecce, as per the Mirror.

"I gave my world to Roma for three years and I feel this is my project”

"In terms of emotion, passion, empathy, of being happy working with Roma, I say I am 11 out of 10," he stressed.

"I am truly, very, very happy to be at a club where I feel the people trust me. I couldn’t be happier than this."
