Ronaldo awarded record honour

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted another prestigious individual award for the tenth time in his glittering career.
 
Ronaldo, 34, lifted the Serie A title and UEFA Nations League with Portugal after leaving Real Madrid ahead of the 2018/19 season.
 
 
And his 'new challenge' within a new league and country has not deterred his remarkable success his enjoyed over the past decade.
 
On Tuesday, the iconic striker who was nominated for the 2019 FIFA The Best Men's Player award, was presented with a record tenth Portuguese Player of the Year award in the capital city, Lisbon.
 
The Portugal record goalscorer pipped Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, Atletico Madrid wonderkid Joao Felix, Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes and Wolves star Ruben Neves.

"This world is so fast, with the social media, the press, it's been wild," Ronaldo said after lifting the honour, as per Sports Illustrated. 
 
"It's been an extremely complicated year on a personal level. Don't let anyone pull you down."
 
Ronaldo netted 28 goals and 10 assists during his debut campaign at Juventus.
