Cristiano Ronaldo moved further ahead of long-standing rival Lionel Messi while joining an exclusive club with his latest record-breaking hattrick feat.
The Juventus superstar who turns 35 next month netted a sublime hattrick in the 4-0 thrashing of Cagliari on Monday afternoon - his first in Serie A.
His feat that keeps Maurizio Sarri's side firmly within the title race sees him join Alexis Sanchez as the only player to net a treble in Premier League, LaLiga and the Italian top-flight.
Ronaldo's incredible exploits also lifted his tally to 36 hattricks in league football over the course of his iconic career, which now puts him two ahead of Messi.
However, after the game, he played down his latest milestones and emphasised the importance of consistency within the thrilling title-race with Antonio Conte's Inter side.
"The most important aspect is performance and the team played very well," Ronaldo said, as per The Mirror.
"Certainly it's nice to score, but beyond my goals today we had to win and put pressure on Inter.
"We must be calm and think about doing our best. We are doing it, we are improving game after game, in defence, in midfield and upfront. We must grow in all aspects."
Ronaldo has now scored 13 league goals in 14 games for the Bianconeri this season as they sit level on points with league leaders Inter.
