Former Bidvest Wits midfielder Yaniv Segev has earned a move to Romanian outfit FC Universitatea Cluj after leaving IFK Lidingö in Sweden.
Segev, 24, has been rewarded after an impressive season in the Division 2 Norra Svealand with a move to the second-tier side as he looks to revive his once-promising career.
The technically gifted midfielder looked set to earn a professional breakthrough at Wits back in 2015 but compulsory enlistment of national service in the military forced him to return to Isreal which ended his stint in South Africa.
And since then he's endured a nomadic journey after the major setback as he looked to gain regular first-team football with stints at five Israeli clubs before landing a move to Lidingö.
Born to a South African mother from Port Elizabeth, the Hapoel Tel Aviv academy product has now signed a one-year contract with Cluj, joining fellow South African, Sergio Marakis, who signed for top-flight side Arges Pitesti last week.
