South African midfielder Sergio Marakis has earned a move to Liga I side Arges Pitesti ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The tenacious midfielder played alongside SA U-23 midfielder Thabo Cele at Cova Piedade last season but has now opted for a move to Romania to kickstart his career again.

Having been developed within the Sporting Lisbon academy and featuring for Portugal at youth level the South African-born talent has enjoyed spells at the likes of Portimonense, Maritimo and Nacional over the past decade.
