Amid speculation linking Bongani Zungu with a move to Scottish giants Rangers, the Bafana Bafana star's current club Amiens have now reportedly set their asking price for the midfielder.

Last week, Zungu was linked with a move to Scotland after it emerged that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard had made personal enquiries about the former Mamelodi Sundowns star.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave Amiens following the club's relegation from Ligue 1, but new reports suggest that Rangers, and any other potential suitors, will need to pay top dollar to land his signature.

According to Le 11 Amienois, the French outfit are demanding a figure of €5 million (R95 million) for Zungu, which is double what the club reportedly paid to sign him from Vitoria Guimaraes in 2017.

It is also claimed that fellow Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, who are home to Zungu's international teammate Lebo Mothiba, have withdrawn their interest in the midfielder as a result of Amiens' demands.
