A separate report from Record Sport claims that the former Mamelodi Sundowns star rejected an approach from LaLiga side Celta Vigo and fellow Ligue 1 side Strasbourg after setting his heart on playing under Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
It is claimed further that Zungu could join up with the Scottish outfit as early as Wednesday afternoon, when he would become the club's fifth signing of the season, and is expected to sign a four-year deal.
