Percy Tau admits he understands the widespread fanfare surrounding his return to Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.
Tau, 26, was recalled by the Seagulls on Thursday from his loan spell at Anderlecht and made his debut in their third-round FA Cup win over League Two side Newport County on Sunday evening.
Since the deal was confirmed, South Africans have bombarded Brighton's social media accounts with unwavering support for 'The Lion of Judah'.

"I am blessed to be here – it has been a long journey and I am grateful for the opportunity in front of me," Tau said.
"There has always been an excitement back home since I signed for Brighton. I have been out on loan and now they're now celebrating the fact that I am back and ready to play.
"We don't have many South Africans playing in the Premier League. We used to in the past, but at the moment we don't so it gives them pride to see me with Brighton."
Tau scored four goals and registered a single assist in 14 games for RSCA before acquiring his work-permit to return to the South Coast outfit.
