Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau played a key role for Anderlecht as the Belgian giants maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Anderlecht extended their unbeaten start to the 2020/21 Jupiler Pro League campaign to five matches on Sunday after recording a comfortable 2-0 win over Cercle Brugge.
Tau was instrumental in the record 34-time champions' opening goal when his smart turn in the box drew a foul from Scottish defender David Bates, with the subsequent penalty converted by fellow loanee Lukas Nmecha.
Panama international Michael Murillo then doubled Anderlecht's lead in the 68th minute with a well-taken effort which ultimately secured all three points for Vincent Kompany's side.
The Belgian giants could have added to their tally in the final minutes of the match but Brugge goalkeeper Hendrik van Crombrugge was on hand to deny Tau before Yari Verschaeren blazed over after being set up by the South African forward.
The 26-year-old's performance at Lotto Park means the former Mamelodi Sundowns star has now played a hand in four goals in four appearances this season, winning two penalties (both of which were converted) and scoring twice himself.
