Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk is set to leave reigning K League 1 champions Jeonbuk Motors just seven months after arriving at the club.
Having joined Jeonbuk in January following a successful spell with Sparta Rotterdam, Veldwijk's time with the South Korean outfit now appears to be at its end following the club's decision to sign Brazilian striker Gustavo.

The impending arrival of the Brazilian striker from Corinthians, as well as the club's reported pursuit of Gambia forward Modou Barrow, has put Veldwijk's future at the club in doubt, particularly as he has mainly featured from the bench this season due to the league's strict U22 ruling.

This rule dictates that all K League 1 sides must field at least one U22 player on the bench and in their starting line-ups, with the club opting to start Cho Kyu-Sung as their sole forward ahead of Veldwijk on numerous occasions throughout the campaign.
Veldwijk, who scored on his league debut for Jeonbuk in May, has since confirmed to KickOff.com that there have been "changes" at the club and that he is expecting to leave, although no decision to this effect has officially been made yet.
