South African midfielder Kgaogelo Chauke made his professional debut for Southampton during the Premier League side's FA Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town.
Chauke (18) was named in Ralph Hasenhüttl's starting XI for Tuesday's Cup clash and featured for 79 minutes on debut as the Saints recorded a 2-0 victory over their League One opponents, courtesy of goals from Dan Nlundulu and captain James Ward-Prowse.

The young midfielder, who was called up to the England U-18 squad for a training camp last year, looked assured during his maiden senior appearance as he helped his side secure a spot in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, where they will meet Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
Chauke is the latest in a string of promising players to break through Southampton's famed academy which in recent years has produced the likes of Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale, as well as both of the goalscorers on Tuesday night.
He is also one of only six South African-eligible players who have been registered to play in the Premier League this season, alongside Khanya Leshabela (Leicester City), Bradley Cross (Newcastle United), Nikola Tavares (Crystal Palace), Max McMillan (Leeds United) and Percy Tau (Brighton & Hove Albion).
