Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter has dismissed comparisons between Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau and Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin.
Potter was speaking to the media ahead of Brighton's Premier League clash against Fulham this week when he was asked to comment on Tau's qualities, which were compared to that of Newcastle's French winger Saint-Maximin.
"I don't like to compare players, I think they're different in terms of how they do things," the 45-year-old responded, per Brighton's official website.
"Percy has got his own qualities, his own attributes, he plays in space well. As I said before, the important thing for us is for him to settle in with us and to get to know each other.
"The more we understand him, the more he understands us, the better our relationship will be, but he's another player that we are excited about and we're looking forward to working with."
Tau has made four appearances for Brighton since returning from a loan spell at Anderlecht earlier this month, including his second start of the campaign during the club's FA Cup victory over Blackpool on Saturday.
