Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau has opened up after completing a loan move to Belgian giants Anderlecht.
On Wednesday morning, Tau extended his stay in Belgium to a third consecutive season when he joined Vincent Kompany's Anderlecht on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 26-year-old had spent the previous two campaigns in the country, winning the Jupiler Pro League title with Club Brugge last season, and being named as the Player of the Season in the second division with Union Saint-Gilloise in the 2018/19 campaign.
Tau has since opened up on his decision to join Anderlecht, who are fierce rivals of Brugge, and stressed his desire to help the record 34-time champions challenge for the title again in the upcoming season.
"I am part of a team that always wants to play good and attacking football, that suits me perfectly," the former Mamelodi Sundowns forward told the club's official website.
"RSCA has my style of football. We are made for each other. I will do everything I can to contribute to this team and guide the club back to where it belongs: to the top of Belgian football."
Tau drilled the message home during his unveiling video as well, and made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that he planned to leave his mark during his stint with the club.
"... I speak 11 languages but my favourite language is football. I came here to work hard, to become a better player, to score, to assist, to win," he added.
