Bafana Bafana midfielder Thulani Serero has reportedly agreed a deal to leave Vitesse Arnhem, ending his eight-year spell in the Eredivisie.
Serero, 29, seemingly played his last game in the Netherlands this weekend with another composed 90 minute showing for Vitesse in their 2-0 win over Willem II.
According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, the three-time Eredivisie winner has agreed a to join UAE Pro League side Al Jazira after a €1 million (R17m) bid was accepted for his services.
Al Jazira, currently coached by former Heerenveen boss Jurgen Streppel will have known the diminutive playmaker during his time during his time managing in the Dutch top-flight, where Serero has emerged as one of the leading performers.
Over the 2018/19 season, the South African was named amongst the Team of the Season, which earned him a place in the AFCON 2019 squad, however, his stay in Europe appears to be coming to an end.
After leaving Ajax Cape Town as the PSL Footballer of the Year in 2011, Serero spent five seasons in parent club Ajax Amsterdam before two impressive campaigns with Vitas.
