Since Percy Tau made his UEFA Champions League debut, his market value has risen considerably, but where does he rank amongst the top 10 South African stars abroad?
When Tau left Mamelodi Sundowns in June 2018 as the South African Footballer of the Season, he was valued at €2m (R32m) but rapid strides in Belgium over the past 20 months has seen his stock rise.
With three goals and five assists in 16 appearances for Club Brugge, the Bafana Bafana forward has seen his market value rise to €6 million (R98m), according to Transfermarkt.
This puts ahead of his former Masandawana teammates Bongani Zungu and Keagan Dolly, both of whom left for Europe before him.
The Ligue 1 midfielders have struggled with injury of late at their respective clubs, with Zungu's value dropping from R57m to R41m over the past 12 months - while Dolly's has dropped from R25m to R22m.
Both have struggled with injuries of late and will see their contracts at Amiens and Montpellier respectively - expire at the end of next season.
Another French-based player is Lebogang Phiri of Guingamp, who's ranked in sixth place in the list with a R25m valuation, despite having been relegated to Ligue 2 last season.
Lebo Mothiba, Luther Singh and Kamohelo Mokotjo are the other European-based players that make the list, while Ayanda Patosi, Thulani Serero and May Mahlangu, in the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan complete the top 10.
